When the plane was shot by the 15 German fighters, the plane got into a spin. Price managed to get it under control again and flew on. After the second hit with appr. 5 to 6 German fighters, the plane was on fire and engines were running away. Price gave the order to bail out, but O’Rourke and Tiedemann refused to go.
We think that Raymond Price could see the meadows around La Fosse and was hoping to crashland the plane there. There is a midair explosion reported.
Above “le chalet” the plane loses an engine. The plane then makes a last turn and crashes into the meadow, killing Price, O’Rourke and Tiedemann.
Raymond Price is interred in Henri Chapelle cemetery.
We are looking for relatives of Raymond E Price.
