We dont have any information about Edward O’Rourke. We know he was killed in the crash and was sitting next to pilot Raymond Price. Because of the fire in the National Archives we can’t reach for his IDPF yet….
Lt.O’Rourke, appears in MACR #11106, however there is no known grave or monument. Most likely Lt. O’Rourke, was repatriated after the war to as yet an unidentified grave location.” (source: Find a Grave)

In October 2021, after a very long and extensive search, Kaye Ackermann found relatives of Edward O’Rourke. To our surprise Eddy O’Rourke, a cousin, had his medals and his air wings.
Eddy and his son Brian attended the ceremony in the memorial weekend of 10, 11 and 12 december 2021.
