Part 3: Giving up

In October 2017, I run out of ideas. The months before we were presuming that Victor remembered the date wrong. So we expanded our search between the 17th of december 1944 till the beginning of january 1945. Myra already pulled some files of other planes, but none of them was pointing at a crashsite near la Fosse.

It seemed hopeless and at one night, I spoke to Victor and told him for a second time that I thought we never would find that plane and I ran out of ideas.
He was in disbelief and could not understand why we could not find it. The same night my wife Eveline spoke to me and told me to give it one more and one last shot.
I thought it over. Spoke with a couple of team members and knew that the plane had to be somewhere. I decided to give it one last try. All or nothing.

That next week, I photographed 120 items that we found the last years. I knew it would not help to find the plane, but maybe it would attrack other people with more knowledge.
I also opened a hidden group on facebook and invited all the crewmembers.
The tension was getting higher.
